Job Description
- Develop detailed designs for drainage systems, water pipelines, and sewerage networks.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and technical assessments.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure all designs and construction activities comply with local regulations, codes, and standards.
- Collaborate with government agencies and stakeholders to secure necessary permits and approvals.
- Supervise and manage construction activities to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance to contractors and project teams.
- Incorporate sustainable practices and innovative solutions into project designs.
- Evaluate and recommend materials and technologies to improve efficiency and durability.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide regular progress updates and address any technical challenges.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Must be a Professional Engineer (PE) registered with the Professional Engineers Board (PEB).
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in drainage, water pipeline, and sewerage works.
- Proven track record of managing infrastructure projects from design to completion
