Location: Cottonwood, AZ | Reports To: Restoration Program Manager
This position will assist the Restoration program by supporting riparian invasive management, erosion reduction, water quality monitoring and wildlife corridor projects. This position would specifically support field-based crew work and community science efforts related to this program. Click here for the full job description.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support restoration projects including riparian invasive plant removal, upland restoration, water quality monitoring, and wildlife corridors.
- Coordinate with volunteer community scientists and contract crews on projects including Otter Spotter, Bioblitz, bird surveys, vegetation monitoring and more.
- Lead field trips of school age students and classroom follow up visits.
- Assist in planning and coordination restoration volunteer events (MLK Day, Public Lands Day)
- Lead environmental education for community members, field trips, tourists, etc.
30-hour plus work availability per week preferred. Workspace will be a combination of field based work with a hybrid office/ remote arrangement
