At Arup we deliver schemes across the whole water cycle. From strategy, planning, and catchment management to flood risk management, wastewater treatment, and water treatment. The successful delivery of water solutions requires the integration of many disciplines.
The Opportunity
This 6-12 week Summer Internship sits within our Water Team based in London, which is made up of passionate multi-disciplinary water engineers, civil engineers, MEICA engineers, process engineers and scientists who work together to deliver a wide variety of projects. We deliver a mix of complex, novel, and nature-based solutions for our diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from private developers to government agencies and regulatory bodies in both the UK and Internationally.

- Water supply and wastewater engineering

We are looking for people who have an enthusiasm for a career in the water sector, underpinned by an interest to develop their knowledge and understanding of our sector and work. We are looking for engineers, scientists, and those with an interest in developing water solutions fit for the future.
Is this role right for you?
For this opportunity, we are seeking the following:
- Candidates who are working towards an undergraduate degree or higher in physics, engineering, mathematics, computer science or an allied numerate discipline.
- A good understanding of the theoretical approach and practical application within the Water sector.
- Have an analytical thought process.
- Contribute to improve our existing ways of working, new ideas, tools, process.
- Possess a strong working knowledge of common software and digital tools and demonstrate an ability to learn new software within a working environment.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A willingness to be challenged.
