Job Description :
Building Water Infrastructure (BWI) Task Order is an Architecture and Engineering (A&E) services agreement for conducting planning, engineering designs, construction supervision, and related support in the water and wastewater field.

Primary Responsibilities: As a technical leader on the Jordan team, the Water/Wastewater design Engineer will lead basic to highly complex engineering water, wastewater, and environment tasks, aiming at addressing the specific assessments, designs, tendering support, and construction management services.

• Works collaboratively within a team of global professionals in designing water and wastewater projects throughout Jordan.
• Provide assistance to the design manager in coordination and managing the work of technical, financial, and legal teams for BOT contract procurement.
• Prepares schedule of work and monitor adherence to schedule. Document deviations and justifications.
• Manages the collection of data and information related to the assigned tasks from site visits and other sources.
• Reviews and analyzes moderate to complex data from previous studies and reports.
• Conducts hydraulic analysis using modelling software.
• Conduct assessments of existing facilities.
• Develops feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed designs for water and wastewater projects.
• Oversees tender documents and Bill of Quantities
• Represents CDM Smith as needed in clients and stakeholder meetings.
• Works in a multi-disciplinary and cross-cultural work environment, closely coordinating with team members in Jordan and throughout the firm.
• Manages and mentors’ junior engineers and team members and provide technical guidance and advice on company best practice.
• Adheres to all company compliance, ethics, and quality policies and procedures.
• Attends conferences, symposia, etc. to improve the visibility of the firm’s services in collaboration with applicable sales staff.
• Support new business pursuits with technical inputs as required.
• Support the Project Management and Design Managers in the overall management, direction, review and daily oversight of designs and engineering work prepared in-house and by sub-consultants.
• Responsible of the administrative deliverables assessment for the work assignment such as : (Reporting, Monitoring , evaluation and learning (MEL) requirements , feedback.& presentation for the monthly Minister meetings )
• Provide scope and schedule updates on work assignment progress on biweekly basis for the Task leaders meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Civil Engineer, or higher degree is preferred.
• Min 8 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient hydraulic modeling for water and wastewater systems
• Strong knowledge in design of treatment plants and pumping stations is a plus
• Proficient in Civil 3D and modeling software. GIS knowledge is a plus.
• Proven excellence in report writing skills
• Good knowledge and familiar with Contracts in general preferably in the BOT Contracts
• Registration as a member of the Jordan Engineers Association
• Strong Communication skills in English and Arabic (Speaking, reading and writing)
• Individual must hold Jordanian citizenship and be legally authorized to work in Jordan
