Natural Resource Management / Watershed Specialist

Padova Consulting Services is seeking a Senior Natural Resource Management / Watershed Specialist to join our proposal team for a Mid-Term Review (MTR) of a multi-year resilience and watershed restoration project implemented in Bamiyan Province. The assignment will assess technical design, implementation quality, and environmental sustainability of natural resource and watershed interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the technical design and implementation of watershed restoration and natural resource management interventions.
- Review environmental sustainability, relevance, and effectiveness of project activities.
- Support field-level data collection and technical analysis in Bamiyan Province.
- Contribute technical inputs to evaluation findings, conclusions, and practical recommendations.
- Collaborate with the Team Leader and MEAL Specialist to ensure evidence-based assessment.
Essential Qualifications:
- Degree in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in watershed management, environmental restoration, or natural resource–based development projects.
- Proven experience conducting technical assessments or evaluations for NGO, INGO, or UN-funded programs.
- Experience working in rural Afghan contexts is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in English; fluency in Dari and/or Pashto is a strong advantage.
