You will join the International Division of Suez Consulting. The International Division has a turnover of over €40M, generated in Central and Eastern Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Most of the projects are financed by international donors (AFD, WB, ADB, BAD, EU, EIB, etc.), for which our teams provide engineering and consultancy services for essential services: water, waste, roads, railways, energy, the environment, urban management, etc. in developing and emerging countries.
Junior Water Engineer (Permanent Position)
We are recruiting a Junior Water Engineer to join our engineering team on a permanent basis in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The role involves supporting the design, analysis, and monitoring of water supply systems, with opportunities to contribute across multiple projects.
Main Responsibilities
• Conduct technical assessments of water systems (production, treatment, storage, and distribution).
• Support hydraulic modeling and network analysis to evaluate system performance.
• Assist in the design and review of infrastructure improvement plans.
• Identify infrastructure gaps, prepare cost estimates, and propose technical solutions.
• Contribute to technical notes, reports, and project deliverables.
• Support training, workshops, and coordination with local stakeholders and contractors.
• Apply and promote health, safety, and environmental standards in all activities.
Profile
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Hydraulic, or Environmental Engineering.
• At least 6 years of experience in water supply or sanitation infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (EPANET, WaterGEMS, or equivalent).
• Solid knowledge of water production, pumping, distribution, and storage systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
• Fluency in Khmer and in English (written and spoken).
Conditions
• Location: Based in Phnom Penh, with occasional field visits and possible travel.
• Permanent contract.
