Member – Water Resource Technology Group
Position: Member – Water Resources Technology Group (WRTG)
Location: Mohuda, Ganjam District, Odisha
Reports To: Team Lead – WRTG
About the Role:
The Member – WRTG will support Gram Vikas field teams in the implementation of water resources management through demystification of groundwater knowledge and management practices, developing groundwater management tools and training-cum-handholding support to field teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of tools for groundwater resources management
- Develop and maintain databases related to water resources, resource management tools
- Provide field-level technical assistance and troubleshooting support to implementing teams
- Use GIS and Remote Sensing tools for data analysis, aquifer mapping and intervention monitoring
- Prepare analytical reports, training materials, and documentation on groundwater resources management processes
- Contribute to internal team capacity building through peer learning and knowledge-sharing activities
Required Skills and Competencies
- Understanding of community water resource management and related concepts.
- Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel for data analysis).
- Working knowledge of GIS tools — preferably QGIS.
- Strong coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with field teams
- Willingness to travel extensively within Odisha
Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Earth Sciences, Environmental Science, Water Resources, or related fields.
Compensation
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
