KW&SC invites applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Hydraulic Modeller. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, calibrating, and applying hydraulic models to support the efficient management and evolution of Karachi’s water supply system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain hydraulic models of complex water distribution networks.
- Collect and analyze field data related to flows and pressures.
- Compare and calibrate simulation outcomes with real-world observations.
- Identify and recommend interventions for system optimization and loss reduction.
- Coordinate with engineering and operational teams to ensure model accuracy and integration into decision-making.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
Education
BE/BSc degree or greater in Civil or Mechanical engineering preferably with a specialisation in hydraulics.
Specific Experience
• Good understanding of commonly applied software (GIS, CAD MS Office, Epanet etc.).
• Self-motivated, creative and eager to learn.
• Good inter-personal communications skills and possess the ability to motivate others.
• Highly proficient in the English language with good report writing ability.
• Prepared to travel when necessary
Age:
The eligible age for applicants may not be over 45 years.
Tenure:
This is contractual position for a period of 3 years, extendable on satisfactory performance.
