Summary:
WaterEquity is seeking a VP, Investor Relations to manage and track day-to-day interactions with current investors across WaterEquity-managed funds, including the dissemination of performance reports, financial updates, tax documents, compliance-related documents and other investor-centric materials. The VP, Investor Relations will also be responsible for overseeing the investor onboarding process, including managing the relationship with WaterEquity Fund Administrators. The VP, Investor Relations will work closely with the full Investor Relations team, which consists of two fundraising professionals (the CIRO and a Principal) as well as the Senior Associate of Marketing.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing communications and delivery of key documentation with a portfolio of funding relationships, preferably in an investor relations role. Candidates must thrive in a dynamic start-up culture, excel at independent work and proactive communication, and be able to manage diverse projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate is highly organized, can develop effective systems for disseminating and tracking key deliverables, and demonstrate exceptional business judgment. The candidate should be comfortable working remotely and with team members in diverse geographic locations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day relationships with current investors across WaterEquity-managed funds, including responding to inquiries and other needs, disseminating reports (annual & custom reports), providing financial updates, compliance notices, tax documents, and Fund notices among other investor-centric materials.
- Together with the finance team, manage and own the relationship with WaterEquity Fund Administrators.
- Coordinate with compliance, finance, and other teams on regulatory filings, disclosures, and fund operations timelines with investor deliverables and communications top of mind.
- Lead on compliance-related reporting controls (tracking and response) for current and prospective investors, such as inquiry communications, GIPs reports, etc.
- Oversee the investor onboarding process and work closely with internal and third-party stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the finance team and Fund Administrators to formalize and deliver investor benefits, including Fund distributions, commitment redemptions, subscription and/or banking changes, transfer requests, etc.
- Ensure investor reporting and financial requirements are tracked and met via various legal agreements, including recoverable grant agreements, side letters, and Invest + Donate agreements.
- Manage investor portal, including vendor contract(s) and budgets, sensitive investor account data (e.g., banking, contact, etc.), email distribution lists, and general portal maintenance.
- Collaborate with teams to maintain databases, including Salesforce and SharePoint, to ensure accurate and timely tracking of investor account details and committed values. This also entails assessing, identifying, and developing (when needed) new and efficient platforms and tools for WaterEquity to ensure successful information management.
- Regularly analyze current LP relationships and investments, market trends, and competitor activities, with a goal of improving LP services, products, and retention.
- Work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to ensure compliance-related items are identified, tracked, stored, and disseminated appropriately and that on-going processes are streamlined and efficient.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure there is a continuous exchange of information and data as needed.
- Participate in organization-wide meetings and activities.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, finance, international development, or related field.
- Completion of a master’s degree in related field is a plus.
- 5 years+ relevant work experience in investor relations or private fund administration preferred.
- Experience and/or educational requirements may be satisfied with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Solid proficiency and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint,and Salesforce.
- Experience working with website platforms and languages, including WordPress and HTML.
- Experience tracking key data and insights within Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
- Strong organization and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience analyzing and synthesizing data.
- Ability to effectively present information and data in a clear and compelling manner.
- Understanding of and passion for impact investing and/or international development.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves extended periods of sitting or standing and reaching. This role requires the ability to see, talk, and hear.

Compensation and Benefits:
This position offers full-time benefits, including medical/dental insurance, life and disability insurance, a retirement program, and periodic review for merit and incentive pay based on organizational and personal achievement. Overall compensation will be commensurate with education and experience and structured to reflect a competitive package for a full-time team member. Expected base compensation is $100,000-$120,000. Travel required less than 5% of the time.
