| About the Organization | The objective of the Centre for Water Resources Studies (CWRS) is to apply the research resources of Dalhousie University in a manner that will address real problems in water resources that exist or are anticipated in Nova Scotia, the Atlantic region and beyond. |
| Job Summary | Reporting to the Research Administrator, the Research Facilitator will work within a team to support CWRS Faculty, staff, and trainees in the development, coordination and execution of research projects. This role focuses on project organization, document preparation, information management and communication to facilitate effective administration within the CWRS. |
| Key Responsibilities | Support research project planning by developing project plans, tracking progress, and preparing related documents.Support meetings by preparing weekly agendas, recording meeting minutes, and ensuring timely execution of action items.Draft, edit, upload, and maintain project materials (agendas, reports, presentations) and keep files organised in systems like SharePoint and OneDrive.Update internal and external research databases (e.g., CCV, ROMEO, Tri-Agency) to ensure accuracy and completeness.Coordinate logistics for research-related events, workshops, and guest speaker sessions to support collaboration and outreach.Facilitate clear communication among teams and provide professional support to faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders. |
| Note | The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work from within Nova Scotia) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines. |
| Required Qualifications | Undergraduate degree in a research-related field, with at least two years’ experience working in a research environment.Ability to develop and write research proposals and reports.Collaborate with research partners, project management, and diverse research teams.Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.Interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving, and organizational skills.Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. |
