Offer Description
The competition is related to research in the area of:
• Environmental transformations, analytics, and health impacts of microplastics and micropollutants
• Chemical composition, emission sources, and health effects of atmospheric aerosols
• Water treatment processes related to micropollutants
• Wastewater treatment processes related to micropollutants
• Application of wastewater-based epidemiology in assessing exposure to environmental and occupational pollutants
Requirements:
- completed master’s degree in the field of Energy Engineering, Chemical Technology or Renewable Energy and Energy Management,
- predisposition for scientific and teaching work,
- confirmed active participation in the student scientific movement or a proven record of scientific achievement resulting from higher education studies, studies at a doctoral school, doctoral studies or professional work with the restriction of Article 209(10) of the Law on Higher Education,
- knowledge and experience in environmental chemistry and environmental analytics, as well as in the use of various instrumental methods in environmental research (e.g., soils, sewage sludge, wastewater),
- knowledge and experience in atmospheric aerosol studies, including sampling and analysis of aerosol samples,
- experience in preparing grant applications or documented participation in research projects,
- certificate confirming the commencement of a pedagogical module,
- advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel),
- proven knowledge of English, at least at B-2 level, as defined by the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, is required,
- proficiency in the Polish language (candidates who are not Polish citizens should attach a certificate of Polish language proficiency at least at level C-1),

Skills/Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of the TIMES model generator (IEA-ETSAP), confirmed by completed research/project work
- Practical knowledge of the GAMS programming language
- Practical knowledge of databases using SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Practical ability to process large datasets using popular scripting languages (preferred Python)
- Practical knowledge of GIS software (preferred QGIS)
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel) along with VBA
Specific Requirements
- Certificate of completed pedagogical training
- Proficiency in the Polish language (non-Polish citizens should attach a certificate of Polish language proficiency at least at level C-1)
