Position HighlightsThe School of Government & Public Policy seeks an Adjunct Instructor for the Spring 2026 semester (01/05/2026-05/24/2026) in the areas of: Sustainability and Equitable Water Management (PA 521), Local Econ & Community Development (PA 551). These adjunct positions are part-time, non-tenure eligible, and non-benefits eligible.

The School of Government & Public Policy (SGPP) was formed in 2009 by combining two highly ranked programs – political science and public administration and policy – bringing them under a single roof. Located in the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences, SGPP is one of the largest schools at the University of Arizona and is uniquely situated to serve as a new model for public affairs education by promoting high-caliber research, teaching, community outreach, and civic leadership. Duties & ResponsibilitiesDuties & Responsibilities:
PA 521 Adjunct – instruction for undergraduate juniors and seniors majoring in Criminal Justice Studies and/or Public Management & Policy/Public Affairs 
PA 551 – instruction for graduate students in the Master of Public Administration and Master of Public Policy programs
Hold office hours
Plan class lectures and assignments
Grade papers and exams
Assign projects
Minimum QualificationsMaster’s degree in related subject relevant to class assignment with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
Preferred QualificationsPh.D. in Political Science, Public Policy, or related subject relevant to class assignment.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety ReportIn compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
