WELL Labs is seeking a motivated Urban Designer/Landscape Architect with 2–3 years of professional experience to join the Urban Water programme. 

Position Overview

Job Location: Bengaluru (hybrid)

About the Role: We are seeking a motivated Urban Designer / Landscape Architect with 2–3 years of professional experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on exposure to working drawings and Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), along with a strong interest in nature-based solutions (NbS) and sustainable urban design practices.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Contribute to conceptual design and visualisation for urban and landscape projects.
  2. Prepare and develop working drawings, DPRs and site analysis documentation.
  3. Integrate nature-based solutions and ecological strategies into design projects, ensuring sustainability and resilience.
  4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  5. Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and graphics for client and stakeholder communication.
  6. Conduct site assessments, spatial analysis, and design research as required. 

Required Skills & Competencies

  1. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
  2. Strong technical knowledge in preparing detailed working drawings and DPRs.
  3. Familiarity with blue-green infrastructure, water-sensitive urban design, and Nature-based Solutions (NbS) strategies.
  4. Excellent visualisation, rendering, and presentation skills.
  5. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  6. Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Architecture.
  2. Prior experience in urban rejuvenation, ecological restoration, or public space projects preferred.
  3. Understanding of GIS or other mapping tools is an advantage.
