WELL Labs is looking to hire a Senior Project Manager who will anchor/support the design of hypotheses, carry out field research, analyse data and formulate insights across thematic areas in towns and metros, for the Urban Water programme.Â

About the Role:Â The Urban Water programme designs pathways towards water secure and flood resistant urbanscapes. We do this by enabling effective decision making, and building coalitions between governments, market players and communities. For this purpose, we are looking to hire a Senior Project Manager who will anchor/support the design of hypotheses, carry out field research, analyse the data and formulate insights across thematic areas in towns and metros.
Responsibilities
- Team Management
- Build a team with the right set of methodologies/tools/skills.
- Manage a team of around 2-5 Level 1/2/3/4 employees. This includes hiring, and creating scope and monthly plans.
- Be responsible for planning and ensuring complete delivery of an entire project.
- Thought Leadership
- Develop an understanding of the current literature and developments in the field of urban water management, and integration of nature-based solutions/BGG approaches in urban planning and design.
- Display the ability to think and conceptualise new ideas independently.
- Strategically attend workshops and conferences in India and abroad, representing the team and organisation.
- Impact Delivery
- Contribute to creating strategy to reach outcomes.
- Set and execute monthly goals in line with OKRs for themselves and the team.
- Conceive, design and manage the implementation of at least one project independently.
- Partner Engagement
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders in the water and heat mitigation space.
- Liaison with government officials in the water sector.
- Design and curate workshops to align key stakeholders behind a shared vision.
Preferred Background
- Experience of working on urban infrastructure and/or landscape architecture.
- Knowledge of urban water issues, Nature-based Solutions and the latest developments in the sector.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Kannada.
- Being a self-motivated, well-organised team player with a go-getter attitude is a huge advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban/ Environmental Planning, Landscape Architecture, Environmental or Social Sciences, Public Policy or a related field with 8-10 years of experience.
