| Position Summary | Introductory engineering hydrology course. Topics include rainfall, snowmelt, infiltration, evaporation, streamflow, flood frequency analysis, flood routing, and runoff modeling. |
| Position Requirements | A minimum of a Bachelor of Applied Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree with a P.Eng. designation. Applicants should have background and hand-on lab experiences as described below. Previous teaching experience at a post-secondary educational institution is an asset. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Submission of a one page statement of teaching philosophy as it relates to the course. Analytical knowledge of all kinds of hydrology process analyses, rating curve development, HEC-HMS design analyses. Lab equipment operations, operate small scale meteorological station, operate pumps and pipes and flumes and adjust flow for rating curve development, operate hydrology apparatus piping sand bed pump and flow measurement to gather data for weir calibration precipitation distribution and rainfall catchment drainage hyetographs and hydrographs. Teach design a small drainage area model in HEC-HMS. Equipment requires setup and potential troubleshooting. |
