.An ability to teach 7 of the following courses annually (640 hours of instruction):
- WTTP 1730, Mechanical Systems & Wastewater Distribution
- WTTP 1800, Applied Electrical
- WTTP 1820, 2820, Instrumentation 1 & II
- WTTP 1850, Water Treatment II
- WTTP 1830, Mechanical Systems II & Energy Management
- WTTP 2710, Water Chemistry
- WTTP 2830, Management & Leadership Skills
- WTTP 2800, Microbiology and Toxicology
- WTTP 2730, Filtration
- WTTP 1860, 2760, Wastewater Utility 1 & II
- WTTP 2740, Disinfection
- WTTP 2720, Advanced Coagulation & Particle Removal
- WTTP 2860, Industrial Wastewater Pollution & Treatment
- WTTP 2840 Source Water Protection & Management
QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to applicants with advanced education or exemplary experience in Water and Wastewater Treatment operation, public health and protection of the environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree (Science, Technology, Engineering) or equivalent in a closely related discipline
- The ability to develop and teach undergraduate courses (theory and laboratory practice)
- An understanding of, and experience in, the Canadian water and wastewater systems, operations and legislation.
- A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- A commitment to honouring Truth, Reconciliation and Rights in PSE
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
- Proficiency in MS Office and learning management systems.
Assets:
- Masters Degree (Science, Technology, Engineering) or equivalent in a closely related discipline
- Prior post-secondary education (PSE) -level teaching experience in related discipline
- Experience in curriculum development
- Work experience and connections to Industry.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to efficiency and effectiveness.
Pay Band
$73,665.93 – $114,124.39 ( According to TRUFA Salary Schedule (Range TS01 – TS12) )
