About the position
The Water Systems and Urban Resilience Expert will contribute to flood risk assessment and urban resilience planning. The role includes collecting localized flood related data in urban areas, assessing vulnerability to populations and infrastructure, supporting the project team as needed, and assisting in the development of digital maps identifying vulnerability and risk thresholds.
Main responsibilities:
- Collect, verify and report urban water and risk data.
 - Support field activities, including stakeholder engagement, awareness raising events, and communication activities Assist international counterparts during field missions.
 - Contribute to the development digital maps, risk communication tools, and aligned project collateral.
 
Requirements
Desired experience and qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Hydrology, Climate Science, Water Resource Engineer or a related field.
 - At least 10 years of experience in hydrologic modelling and storm water management.
 - Minimum of 5 years of experience in urban flooding, groundwater, or early warning systems.
 - Previous experience in implementing donor-funded projects.
