Mar fhóntas uisce rialáilte náisiúnta na hÉireann, is í ár bhfís go mbeidh Éire inbhuanaithe ann ina bhfuil meas ar uisce agus ina bhfuil sé cosanta, don domhan agus do na saolta uile a gcothaítear leis.

Is é an cuspóir atá ag Uisce Éireann ná a bheith inchurtha leis an dúshlán a bhaineann le seirbhísí bunathraitheacha uisce a sholáthar chun go mbeidh rath ar phobail. Ciallaíonn sé sin go bhfuilimid bródúil as an bhfreagracht a ghlacadh as ár soláthar uisce a chosaint agus córas sábháilte uisce a chur ar aghaidh chuig daonra atá ag fás go tapa agus fás sóisialta agus eacnamaíoch na hÉireann a chumhachtú.

An Ról: 

Tá an réimse Bainistíochta Sócmhainní agus Inbhuanaitheachta freagrach as beartais sócmhainní, straitéisí agus pleananna a fhorbairt chun an infheistíocht shuntasach atá ag teastáil a dheimhniú le cur le bonneagar na hÉireann. Tugann an réimse spreagadh don infheistíocht agus do chlár na hInbhuanaitheachta agus na Nuálaíochta don eagraíocht agus glacann sé ceannaireacht ar ghníomhaíochtaí um Rialú Timpeallachta agus Comhlíontachta, a chinntíonn go ndéantar monatóireacht leanúnach ar cháilíocht an uisce agus ar an bhfuíolluisce. Tá an fheidhm Bainistíochta Sócmhainní freagrach as pleanáil straitéiseach, beartuithe tosaíochta agus forbairt a dhéanamh ar phíblíne Oibreacha Caipitil Uisce Éireann. Tá ról lárnach ag an bhfeidhm i gcomhoibriú agus comheagar gníomhaíochtaí a chur chun cinn thar na trí fheidhm sócmhainne mar aon le measúnuithe timpeallachta agus saineolas bainistíochta a sholáthar thar Uisce Éireann. 

Is í freagracht na Foirne Straitéise Sócmhainní pleananna straitéiseacha a fhorbairt do na sócmhainní uisce, fuíolluisce agus nádúrtha go léir agus údarú an bhoinn sócmhainní a chinntiú. Clúdaítear i raon feidhme fhreagracht na foirne 5 phríomhréimse: straitéis chomhshaoil, straitéis sócmhainní uisce, straitéis sócmhainní fuíolluisce, pleanáil chun cinn agus straitéis phleanála.

Ag tuairisciú do na Ceannairí Teicniúla ar Straitéis Sócmhainní Uisce , tá an tAnailísí Straitéise Sócmhainní freagrach as tacú leis na Ceannairí ar Straitéis Sócmhainní i ndáil le riachtanais infheistíochta laistigh de na réigiúin a aithint, a cheadú agus a thosaíochtú. D’fhéadfadh go mbeadh oibriú i ndlúthchomhar le tríú páirtithe san áireamh sa ról chun pleananna a fhorbairt a sheachadfaidh seirbhísí d’Uisce Éireann ina dhiaidh sin agus beidh measúnuithe agus cinnteoireacht i gceist freisin maidir le hacmhainn an chórais chun tacú le fás..

Príomhdhualgais agus Freagrachtaí:

  • Tacú leis an bhfoireann Bainistíochta Sócmhainní i bhforbairt pleananna bainistíochta sócmhainní agus comhsheasmhacht sa phleanáil ar fud Uisce Éireann agus ailíniú le reachtaíocht chomhshaoil ​​ábhartha á chinntiú.

The Role: 

The Asset Management and Sustainability area is responsible for the development of asset policies, strategies and plans to determine the significant investment required into Ireland’s infrastructure. The area drives investment and the Sustainability and Innovation agenda for the organisation and leads on Environmental Regulation and Compliance activities, ensuring the quality of water and wastewater is continuously monitored. The Asset Management function is responsible for strategic planning, prioritisation, and development of Uisce Éireann’s Capital Works pipeline. The function plays a key role in promoting collaboration and co-ordination of activities across the three asset functions as well as providing environmental assessment and management expertise across Uisce Éireann. 

The Asset Strategy Team responsibility is to develop strategic plans for all water, wastewater and natural assets and to ensure the authorisation of the asset base. The scope of the team’s responsibility covers 5 main areas: environmental strategy, water asset strategy, wastewater asset strategy, forward planning and planning strategy.

Reporting to the Water Asset Strategy Technical Leads , the Asset Strategy Analyst is responsible for supporting the Asset Strategy Leads in relation to the identification, approval and prioritisation of investment needs within the regions. The role may include working closely with third parties to develop plans which in turn deliver services for Uisce Éireann and will also involve assessments and decision making in relation to system capacity to support growth.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Asset Management team in the development of asset management plans ensuring consistency in planning across Uisce Éireann and alignment with relevant environmental legislation. 
  • Conduct analysis on the alignment between current and proposed plans against long-term UE and National strategic plans. 
  • Conduct analysis to support prioritisation and programme development, providing a balanced view of cost, risk, performance and environmental protection / enhancement.
  • Provide reports and insights by collating and clearly presenting the relevant information in a timely manner
  • Conduct analysis of trends and data to identify and escalate relevant issues or risks
  • Maintain focus on the achievement of project outcomes and collaborate with other teams as required to ensure their delivery
  • Ensure that all plans, projects, and programmes are delivered in accordance with the relevant EU and National environmental legislation and all Uisce Éireann environmental policies and guidance.
  • Ensure that Project Managers in Asset Management and Infrastructure Delivery are fully appraised of environmental regulatory requirements and implications therein.
  • Undertake assessments and prepare reports on the potential environmental impacts associated with proposed projects.
  • Contribute to setting the team objectives and targets
  • Perform other such duties in relation to work and asset management as Uisce Éireann may reasonably require 

General Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Collaboration with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business
  • Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards
  • Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives
  • Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with Uisce Éireann’s Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of UÉ business information and delivery of critical services, in accordance with the NIS Directive and any other relevant cybersecurity regulation
  • Other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Third level qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Geography, or related field is desirable 
  • A minimum of 3 years’ Experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable and or relevant experience 
  • Experience in managing a team of professionals, resolving challenges and promoting cross-functional ways of working
  • Experience with GIS, hydrological modelling tools, and data analytics platforms is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Irish water legislation, EPA licensing processes, and WFD requirements.
  • Demonstrated people management experience, with strong people, change management and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience using data analytics to challenge decisions and behaviours that don’t align with our values
  • Proven track record of managing complex issues proactively, with the ability to act upon feedback and implement new ways of doing things
  • Experience in taking ownership of safety responsibilities and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
