The Role:
Operating from within the Water Entitlement Dealings Sough team in Brisbane or Gatton you will be part of a team managing water entitlements and access to water across South East Queensland catchments.

Key Accountabilities:
• Undertake approvals and assessments of water applications and dealings, including preparing reports, recommendations, and notices under the Water Act 2000, Water Regulation 2016, and the Planning Act 2016.
• Apply policy and procedure to make decisions in accordance with a delegated authority under water-related legislation.
• Provide written and verbal advice to internal and external customers on matters relating to water resource management.
• Undertake water management activities such as water accounting, water meter administration and watercourse identifications.
• Maintain systems for registration of drill logs, water entitlements, and recording of related dealings, including works to take water and water usage, in accordance with departmental requirements.
• Monitor and report on timelines for the assessment of applications to meet prescribed customer service standards.
• Prioritise and coordinate workflow processes, managing multiple and conflicting deadlines to achieve performance targets in accordance with departmental priorities and objectives.
• Operate independently and as part of a high-functioning team to meet the objectives outlined in the department’s strategic plan and business plans.
• Provide support to the team, including recommending business improvements and undertaking other emergent projects as requested by Managers.

About You:
• A current ‘C’ class driver’s licence.
• Experience in the use of any information system reporting tools would be highly regarded.
