Qualification: B.E. Civil or Master’s in Hydrology
Requirements:
- Conduct hydrological modeling, water balance studies, and evaluate water availability for irrigation projects.
- Analyze watershed characteristics, rainfall, streamflow, and groundwater data for resource assessment.
- Develop and refine models to assess impacts of irrigation methods on water systems.
- Evaluate efficiency and sustainability of drip, sprinkler, and surface irrigation techniques.
- Recommend improvements in water use efficiency, water quality, and contamination control.
- Analyze soil moisture and interactions with crop water requirements; advise on conservation practices.
- Collect and interpret hydrological data from gauges and weather stations.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, charts, graphs, and maps for stakeholder communication.
- Use HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS software for yield analysis and flood studies.
- Collaborate with engineers, environmental experts, and clients to recommend climate-resilient irrigation solutions.
