Principal Responsibilities | The applicant must be committed to teaching excellence in undergraduate education and must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Expectations include actively pursuing scholarly research and professional development opportunities. Teaching of introductory, college-wide courses (such as Foundation of Design, Statics, Strength of Material, etc.) as well as upper-level civil engineering courses is expected. Required Skills: | Candidates should be committed to advancing the knowledge and practice of engineering education pedagogy. The appointment will be made at the Assistant Professor level. Industry experience, teaching experience, professional licensure, and an ability to teach structural analysis, foundation design, and/or construction engineering will be viewed favorably. |
Minimum Qualifications: | A.B.D. or Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering,Water Resources Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Environmental Engineering, GeotechnicalEngineering, or Engineering Education (with a prior degree in civil engineering). Degree requirementsmust be completed before the date of employment. |
