2. One employee for the vacant position of Teaching assistant in the area of Technical Sciences, scientific field Civil engineering within the Multilateral academic projects (MAPS-2024-7047) competition of the Croatian Science Foundation in cooperation with research funding organizations from Switzerland (Swiss National Science Foundation – SNSF), Bulgaria (Science Directorate, Ministry of Education and Science), Hungary (National Research, Development and Innovation Office – NRDIO), Poland (National Science Center – NCN). and Romania (UEFISCDI) for work on the project “Cross-border cooperation in water management between EU member states and third countries: analysis of management elasticity and creation of a hydropolitical model”, temporary for a fixed period of six years in full time.
All candidates for the competition must meet the general requirements prescribed by the Labor Act (“Official Gazette” No. 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22, 46/23 and 64/23).
Candidates for the competition, in addition to the general conditions set out in the Labour Act (Official Gazette No. 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22, 46/23 and 64/23), must also meet the conditions prescribed in Article 39, paragraph 6 of the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act (Official Gazette No. 119/22), Article 123, paragraphs 3 and 4 of the Statute of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Article 52, paragraphs 3 and 4 of the Statute of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture Osijek and Article 26 of the Regulations on the implementation of the election/re-election procedure for scientific-teaching, artistic-teaching, teaching, associate and professional positions at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, consolidated text. The aforementioned acts are published on the website www.gfos.unios.hr.
Applicants are required to submit documentation specified in the Form 4, which can be found on the Faculty’s web site www.gfos.unios.hr.
The Decision on determining the criteria for a particularly successful student and on additional criteria for selection for the vacant associate teaching assistant position at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture Osijek (link: https://www.gfos.unios.hr/fakultet/akti-fakulteta-odluke) applies to candidates in the competition.
The competition is open to both genders under equal conditions. Only persons who meet the formal requirements of the competition and who have submitted a timely and complete application for the competition will be considered candidates. A complete application is an application that contains all the information and attachments specified in the competition and is signed by hand. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
Candidates for the competition who meet the formal requirements of the competition and who have attached the mandatory documentation with their application to the competition, must take part in the II. level of candidate selection (written test and/or interview) before the Commission, and will be informed about the place and time of the test, as well as the content, method of testing and sources for preparing for the written test/interview by e-mail. Candidates who do not take part in the written test/interview will be considered to have withdrawn their application to the competition and will not be considered candidates for the competition.
For candidates who are foreign citizens, it is necessary to provide proof of knowledge of the Croatian language in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (C2). Before starting employment, it is necessary to have a foreign school qualification recognized.

Candidates, who, on the basis of special regulations – the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families (Official Gazette No. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21 and 156/23), Art. 48 of the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War (Official Gazette No. 84/21), Art. 48.f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids (Official Gazette No. 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13 and 98/19), Art. 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Official Gazette No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20), who invoke the right to priority in employment, are obliged to invoke this right in their application for the competition and to attach all evidence required by special regulations for the exercise of this right. The aforementioned candidates shall have priority in employment in relation to other applicants, only under equal conditions.
For candidates who, in their application for the competition, invoke the right to priority in employment under the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families (Official Gazette No. 121/17, 98/19 and 84/21) and the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War (Official Gazette No. 84/21), the list of evidence required to exercise this right is available at the link of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans https://branitelji.gov.hr/zaposljavanje-843/843.
Candidates who invoke the right to priority in employment pursuant to Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Official Gazette No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20) are required to invoke this right in their application for the competition and attach all evidence of meeting the required conditions, as well as proof of disability.
Applications with evidence of fulfillment of tender conditions must be sent exclusively in the electronic form to the address pisarnica@gfos.hr with the title “Prijava na natječaj pod točkom 2” or “Application to the tender under point 2”.
All candidates of the Competition shall be informed of the results of the Competition within fifteen (15) days of its completion.
All candidates are required to enclose with the application for the competition a completed and signed Consent Form, in which the candidate gives his/her consent that all his/her data contained in the competition documentation shall be collected and processed for the purpose of implementing the competition in accordance with the regulations governing the protection of personal data, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation). The Consent Form is published on the website of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture Osijek (link: http://www.gfos.unios.hr/obrasci). Without a duly completed and signed Consent Form with the application for the competition, the application will be considered incomplete and will be rejected.
