The objective of this consultancy is to undertake a Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (CRVA) to evaluate the current and projected impacts of climate variability and change on water resources, ecosystems, and communities within the catchment, identify vulnerable populations, sectors, and ecosystems, using both scientific data and participatory approaches, propose context-specific, evidence-based adaptation measures to reduce climate risks and enhance resilience. The assignment will also develop a detailed Ecosystem Restoration and Management Plan (ERMP) that outlines priority areas for intervention, restoration techniques, and sustainable management practices and align the plan with national environmental policies, climate adaptation strategies, and community development goals and provide a clear roadmap for safeguarding ecosystems, enhancing climate resilience, and supporting sustainable livelihoods in the Kafue Water Catchment.
