Position : Integrated Natural Resource Management (INRM) Expert

Key Responsibilities
A. Technical Planning s Design
- Create Natural Resource Management Plans for Villages.
- Design technical drawings, layouts, and cost estimates for structures such as:
- Check dams, percolation tanks, and farm ponds.
- Contour bunding, gully plugs, and field bunds.
- Irrigation channels, diversion structures, and recharge pits.
- Develop soil and water management models tailored to local topography and climatic conditions.
- Prepare detailed project reports (DPRs) for watershed and NRM infrastructure interventions.
B. Implementation s Supervision
- Provide on-ground technical supervision during construction of NRM structures.
- Ensure quality assurance and adherence to engineering standards and specifications.
- Monitor progress of infrastructure works and certify completion.
- Ensure effective use of local labor and convergence with government schemes (MGNREGS, PMKSY etc.).
C. Monitoring s Evaluation
- Establish measurable indicators for water harvesting, groundwater recharge, and soil health improvement.
- Use GPS/GIS-based tools for mapping and impact assessment of created structures.
- Document quantitative impacts (e.g., increase in water storage capacity, area irrigated, soil erosion controlled).
D. Capacity Support s Coordination
- Train field engineers, supervisors, and community members in NRM structure maintenance.
- Build strong coordination with local government technical departments (Irrigation, Forest, Agriculture, Rural Development).
Required Qualifications s Experience
- Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering / Civil Engineering / Watershed Management / Natural Resource Management or related technical discipline.
- 3-5 years of field experience in watershed projects, soil C water conservation etc.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing water harvesting and soil conservation structures.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and surveying tools for technical design and mapping.
- Experience in preparing DPRs, technical estimates, and monitoring reports.
- Familiarity with government guidelines and standards for watershed/NRM projects.

- Strong liaison and negotiation skills with local authorities and contractors.
Employment Details
