Job Title : Project Engineer | Site Engineer (Civil)
Department : Emergency Management and Developmental Programs
Reporting Line : Programme Manager – Environmental Sustainability
Position Location : Vikarabad, Telangana
JOB SCOPE: To provide technical supervision during construction of water conservation | watershed interventions to achieve quality construction.
Roles:
• To provide technical supervision during construction of water security interventions planned under Environment Sustainability programs.
• To provide technical support or training to the local team operating in Project villages.
• To provide support to Project Office with any task assigned.
Responsibilities:
Project / Program Activities:
• To travel to various project sites as and when required either by available public transport or company / personal vehicle.
• To carry out site supervision as per instructions and ensure implementation of quality parameters.
• To liaise with water user group, local administration and vendors for implementing project activities.
• To prepare and/or review Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and structure design related to water structures.
• To support HoD and Program Head on other tasks assigned.
• To support Project Office in assessing quality parameters of construction activities including repairs.
• To deliver Technical Session in the Community Mobilisation activities as and when required.
• To carry out or support any Technical Survey as per instructions.
• To support design team at corporate office – Mumbai with data required on water conservation and allied activities.
• To report fortnightly progress for each site to Reporting Manager.
Administration:
• To maintain and file all relevant documents pertaining to project activities.
• To maintain / update vehicle (either personal or company) logbook.
• To obtain and submit proper bills / receipt / voucher while incurring any expenditure related to Project.
SPECIFICATIONS (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS):
Education: Bachelors in engineering (Civil)
Work Experience: 3-5 years on watershed development.
Skills:
Technical Skills:
• Able to understand construction quality assurance and control parameters on water conservation works (Check dam, percolation pond, roof rainwater harvesting, desilting, repair work, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Structural Engineering.
• Working knowledge of design software like AutoCAD.
• Able to understand community development parameters.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Documentations for Projects for the reference of Donors, Regulatory authorities and beneficiaries.
