Job Purpose
This is a contractual position responsible for overall field implementation of Climate Change Programme (CCP), resilient infrastructure both at community and household level including capturing and sharing knowledge on climate resilience, disseminating information about major progress on resilience initiative and results of the programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of activities and initiatives around climate resilient infrastructure and its application
- Implementation of sustainable and climate resilient infrastructure at community and household level
- Support the mainstreaming of sustainable and climate resilient infrastructure within BRAC following existing policy and standards.
- Responsible for overall field implementation regarding resilient infrastructure of Climate Change Programme (CCP) as per programme design and required impact.
- Supervise, following-up and overseeing the overall activities of designated areas through regular field visits and providing necessary support for further improvement.
- Support the development and piloting of frameworks, tools and methodologies focusing on improving the sustainability and climate resilience of infrastructure
- Development of initiatives for increasing knowledge and applied understanding of sustainable and climate resilient infrastructure
- Coordinate with multiple programmes/departments with BRAC to ensure smooth programme operation of CCP in technical and thematic areas as well as M&E, research, communication and advocacy
- Support to prepare concept paper, project proposal, MoU, ToR related to programme activity, coordinate preparation of reports as required to be shared within BRAC and donors and stakeholders
- Assist in organising meetings, seminars, trainings, workshops to exchange views with representatives of stakeholders and beneficiaries
- Ensure the drafting of reports and other key positioning pieces which highlight the role of sustainable and climate resilient infrastructure in global development, including relations to the national and global agenda
- Provide research and data collection on topics upon request by supervisors.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

• Practical understanding of community engagement and participatory approaches in field implementation.
• Knowledge of cross-programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, and partnership building with government, donors, and communities.
• Ability to draft reports, concept papers, proposals, MoUs, ToRs, and other programme-related documents.
Educational Requirements
B.Sc in Civil Engineering or other relevant subject from any recognised university/ institution.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 05 years of work experience. Work experience should majorly include experience in the field of infrastructure development focusing Climate Change or any relevant experience.
