We are building a pool of experienced Irrigation Agriculture Specialists for potential consultancy engagements.

This initiative aims to identify qualified professionals who can be tapped for future projects as they arise. Experts in the pool will be considered for upcoming projects based on their expertise, availability, and the specific requirements of each project.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Agriculture, or a related field is required.
  • At least 7 years of experience in planning, designing, and implementing groundwater or surface water irrigation systems for agricultural production.
  • Strong understanding of piped irrigation, micro-irrigation, sprinkler systems, and climate-smart agriculture principles.
  • Familiarity with government agricultural policies, water resource regulations, and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in using irrigation design and management software, GIS, and remote sensing tools is an asset.
  • Strong project management skills, including design oversight, field supervision, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills to optimize water use efficiency and crop productivity.
  • Effective communication and report-writing skills in English to prepare technical documents and engage with stakeholders.
