We are seeking a field technician to conduct sampling during campaigns in October along the Upper
Colorado River. The individual will be part of a small team to collect data and samples along the river. This will require camping overnight next to the river and working in remote locations for as many as 9 days at a time. We are collaborating with USGS scientists in this work.

What We Require
- Minimum qualifications: an undergraduate and advanced degree (either MS or PhD) in an area that is related to environmental science.
What You Will Need
- Experience conducting field research in, on, and/or around rivers/streams; experience collecting and filtering water samples from natural water bodies. Boat travel (i.e., raft) will be required to complete this work, so candidate must be able to swim.
What We Would Like You to Have
- Preferred qualifications include an earned PhD, and experience not only conducting but also designing and leading field research campaigns. In addition, it would be preferred if the candidate had previous experience working with USGS field scientists.
