This is a chance to join the Process Design Team providing support to the Region as well as across the wider UK area in the delivery innovative project solutions.
The role will support STANTEC Project Technical Leads by providing technical expertise to ensure that projects are delivered to cost, schedule, technical and quality standards to meet both client and STANTEC expectations.
Primary Purpose of Job:
• Provide expert-level technical leadership in the design and optimization of biological wastewater treatment processes- ASP, MBBR, SBR, MBR, along with sludge treatment.
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to develop and deliver innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable process solutions. Shall be capable of handling a small team of process engineers.
- Lead and manage project tasks, including scope definition, budgeting, risk assessment, and resource planning.
- Mentor, support, and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing within the process engineering team.
- Utilize advanced engineering software and tools to develop, prepare and review technical reports, process flow diagrams, mass balances, and engineering drawings to support project delivery.
- Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, ensuring alignment with project goals and expectations. Maintain communication and develop on going contacts with clients as required
• Complete all work in line with STANTEC Core Values and in accordance with STANTEC Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
Person Specifications:
• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Environmental, Chemical, Civil or Process Engineering or other relevant subject.
• Professionally qualified BE – Environmental, Chemical, Civil or Process Engineering
• 15 to 20 years’ relevant experience [water industry particularly with compliance issues and treatment plant operation with ideally knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes] after graduate education.
• Competent level of business development, ie: proven abilities to directly participate in and support the sales and account management process.
• Experienced level of client service management, ie: able to interface with clients and to build and maintain lasting, positive relationships with our Clients.
• Experienced level of project management, ie: have the skills necessary to manage a program or project, includes managing relationship with project associates and project tasks, budgets, scope and risk etc.
• Competent level of leadership, ie: be capable of defining and setting the direction for a team, project or product. Includes skills such as strategy development, change management and corporate stewardship.
• Experienced level of decision making, ie: able to make quality business decisions as well as to identify, assess, evaluate and solve problems.
• Experienced level of baseline skills, ie: professional and confident with the essential, basic business and communication skills that are required for career growth in all positions.
