Qualifications required:
– University degree in environmental science, natural resources management, environmental economics, economics, international relations, political science, or an equivalent relevant professional experience of min. 7 years on top of the “General Professional Experience”. – English, and French C1 level (reading, speaking and writing).
Professional experience required:
General professional experience – 10 years of professional experience – of which at least 5 years working with partner countries- in areas related to green and circular economy, water sanitation, hygiene (WASH), integrated water management, Nature-based Solutions, finance in the environment and green economy sectors. Specific professional experience – At least 4 years of experience on identification/ formulation, implementation, technical supervision, monitoring and evaluation of programmes/actions/investment proposals, AND/OR policy development or policy dialogue, AND/OR design and roll-out of capacity building, AND/OR research and innovation, AND/OR investment proposal/market analysis, AND/OR stakeholders mapping and engagement. – At least 5 years of professional experience in leading teams of experts, i.e. team supervision and management, particularly in mobilising and appointing the right expertise, providing strategic and technical guidance and ensuring quality control of deliverables. -Demonstrated experience in supporting high-level decision-making and policy-making processes, preferably in the framework of the EU and/or bilateral/multilateral agencies.

The Team Leader will be responsible for the professional coordination of the project, the overall fulfilment of all project management tasks, maintain regular contact and direct communication with the Contracting Authority, the quality of the team’s performance and its delivered outputs, and have the following tasks:
- Liaise with the Contracting Authority (DG INTPA-HQ) and EU Delegations, key stakeholders, grant projects, and other interested parties;
- Provide guidance to Key Experts and Non-key experts on the programme’s strategic developments (incl. alignment with EU Circular Economy-related policies), coordinate their inputs and outputs, advise the Contracting Authority and conceptualise new cooperation opportunities to maximise the impact of the EU intervention providing the ground for enhanced visibility of the EU as key and reliable partners on Circular (green) Economy and Water-related areas;
- Ensure the preparation of all reporting (narrative/financial) requirements, the preparation and submission of all deliverables as defined through activities of the project.
