The person employed on this position will be responsible for conducting various forms of teaching (in Polish and English) in the field of wastewater treatment technology and conducting scientific research in the field of wastewater treatment technology.
Responsibilities:
– teaching and mentoring students,
– conducting classes (all formats) in Polish and English in the field of wastewater treatment technology,
– creating teaching materials covering the field of wastewater treatment,
– organizing and conducting scientific research on issues related to the optimization of wastewater treatment plant operation and mathematical modeling of wastewater treatment processes,
– active participation in the organizational activities of the faculty and department;

Requirements:
– completed master’s degree in engineering or environmental protection or a related field,
– doctoral degree in environmental engineering or environmental engineering, mining and energy,
– experience in conducting design exercises, laboratories, and other teaching activities in the scientific field related to wastewater treatment,
– documented scientific achievements in the field of wastewater treatment confirmed by publications,
– willingness to conduct scientific research,
– willingness to contribute to the development of a research team,
– documented participation in R&D projects,
– knowledge of issues related to mathematical modeling of wastewater treatment processes,
– ability to perform rate tests of biological processes,
– a predisposition to teaching and a friendly attitude towards students,
– knowledge of Polish sufficient for teaching,
– knowledge of English sufficient for research,
– commitment and ability to work in a team,
– category B driving license,
– references from a previous employer are desirable;
Specific Requirements
– doctoral degree in environmental engineering or environmental engineering, mining and energy,
– experience in laboratory work in conducting research experiments on a laboratory and semi-technical scale, experience in analytical support of research, good skills in using software used in mathematical modeling (SIMBA, BIoWin, SUMO, WEST),

9. Declaration by the candidate that, if successful, Wrocław University of Science and Technology will be their primary place of employment* (Appendix 3d or Appendix 3d1)
10. References from a previous employer are welcome.
* If a competition is won by a person who is employed under an employment relationship with another employer conducting the following activities: research, research and teaching, research and development, implementation (except for cases specified in Article 125(3) of the Act), and the employment is does not expire until the date of employment at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology as the primary place of work, this person, in accordance with art. 125 sec. 1 of the Act, taking into account art. 125 sec. 2 of the Act, is obliged to obtain the Rector’s consent for additional employment under an employment relationship with another employer after employing her at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. If the competition is won by a person who conducts business activity, the requirement of art. 125 sec. 7 of the Act.
