Consultant/Trainer
Location: Central Asia (regional travel required)
Duration: September 2025 – February 2026 (tentative start September 10, 2025)
Organization: The Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC)
CAREC seeks a Consultant to develop and deliver training materials and conduct four regional training sessions to strengthen the capacity of water sector specialists in Central Asia. Topics will include water resource assessment and forecasting, international experience in drought/flood monitoring, modern technologies (automation, AI, GIS, remote sensing), rational water use, and basin planning/adaptation.
The Consultant will:
Prepare training materials (presentations, lecture notes, handouts) and at least two interactive exercises.
Deliver four regional trainings (one dedicated to the Central Asian Network “Women in Water Management”).
Coordinate with a co-trainer on legal/institutional IWRM aspects.
Draft concise training reports (max. 3 pages each).
