INTEGRATED FLOOD RESILIENCE AND ADAPTATION PROJECT(IFRAP)
REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE SELECTION OF GENDER SPECIALIST /INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT
The Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, represented by the Government of Balochistan has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Integrated Flood Resilience and Adaptation Program (IFRAP) Project. It intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments to hire the services of motivated, experienced, and energetic individual to work with the Project Implementation Unit as a Gender Specialist /Individual Consultant.

| 1. | Gender Specialist | Master’s/ Bachelor’s (minimum sixteen years of education) in gender studies, sociology, social sciences, public policy studies or any other relevant discipline Minimum seven (07) years of post-qualification professional experience in gender mainstreaming and women’s empowerment, preferably within development projects. Demonstrated expertise in conducting gender analysis and developing gender-sensitive interventions based on international standards and best practices in gender equality. Specific experience in similar geographical conditions and knowledge of local languages will be an added advantage Experience in community-driven development projects is preferable. |
The Government of Balochistan, represented by the Project Director, PIU-IFRAP (Component-I), now invites eligible individuals to indicate their interest in providing the services. The individual consultant will be selected following the Open Competitive Selection Process stipulated in “World Bank: Procurement Regulations for Investment Project Financing Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services”, November 2020. The prospective consultants/experts are required to submit their Curriculum Vitae, best describing their qualifications and competence to undertake the assignment.
