INTEGRATED FLOOD RESILIENCE AND ADAPTATION PROJECT(IFRAP)
REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE SELECTION OF ENVIRONMENTAL SAFEGUARDS SPECIALIST /INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT
The Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, represented by the Government of Balochistan has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Integrated Flood Resilience and Adaptation Program (IFRAP) Project. It intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments to hire the services of motivated, experienced, and energetic individual to work with the Project Implementation Unit as Environmental Safeguards Specialist /Individual Consultant.

| 1. | Environmental Safeguards Specialist | Master’s degree in environmental sciences or MS in Environmental Management/ Natural Resource Management/ Environmental Engineering. Minimum seven (07) years of professional post-qualification working experience in public/private organizations, preferably in the development sector.  Knowledge of national and international environmental and social safeguard regulations, including environmental and social impact assessments, as required by national/international institutions. Experience working in Balochistan or similar regions, with an understanding of the unique geographic and socio-economic challenges in infrastructure development. Proficiency in local languages and the ability to effectively engage with local communities will be a significant advantage. |
The Government of Balochistan, represented by the Project Director, PIU-IFRAP (Component-I), now invites eligible individuals to indicate their interest in providing the services. The individual consultant will be selected following the Open Competitive Selection Process stipulated in “World Bank: Procurement Regulations for Investment Project Financing Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services”, November 2020. The prospective consultants/experts are required to submit their Curriculum Vitae, best describing their qualifications and competence to undertake the assignment.
