About the role

The Research Fellow will undertake hydro-climate research as part of the international consortium research project CLARITY ‘Climate Adaptation and Resilience In Tropical Drylands’) https://clareprogramme.org/project/climate-adaptation-and-resilience-in-tropical-drylands-clarity/ 

For the CLARITY project study sites, you will be responsible for processing and analysing historical climate data and future climate projections to- assess future climate risks; produce products to drive the hydrological models, develop appropriate climate information for stakeholder engagement. You will contribute to publications and project reports. You will support the CLARITY team with technical support on climate analysis, including developing and sharing appropriate analysis code.

About you

Ideally you will hold, or currently be studying for, a PhD in a relevant field. You will have a strong background in tropical meteorology/climate science. You will demonstrate evidence of high-quality research. You will have strong scientific computation skills including python programming and unix system management

You will have the skills to manage your own workload and at times, support other colleagues. You will communicate clearly with the team, line management, and stakeholders.
