About the Role:
Water Science and Monitoring branch is offering a fantastic opportunity to broaden and extend your hydrogeology career among a team of highly supportive and skilled groundwater specialists. This role will equip you with skills and experience that are highly sought after in both the public and private sectors.
The Senior Hydrogeologist is responsible, under limited direction, for the provision of professional hydrogeological assessments, advice and services. This role works both individually and as part of a multi- disciplinary team to assist in the successful delivery of project management and hydrogeological modelling assessment and advice requirements, and to assist addressing the State’s strategic priorities in relation to the sustainable management of South Australia’s water resources. The incumbent is required to provide advice to other government agencies on matters relating to the planning and management of South Australia’s water resources.

Contract:
This is a merit pool and successful applicants may be offered a role over the next 12 months based on business needs.
Essential Qualifications:
Tertiary degree in engineering, natural resources, science or equivalent, with emphasis on groundwater management or hydrogeology is essential.
Relevant post-graduate qualifications are desirable.
Special Conditions:
- May be required to participate in fire management and associated
- Some out of hours work may be
- Occasional intra and interstate travel may be required including over-night
- A current Class C drivers licence is desirable.
Remuneration: PO3 ($101,285 min – $107,078 max) p.a.
