REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (REOI)

SELECTION OF PROFESSIONAL STAFF AS

INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT

  1. The Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation will receive a credit through EAD, Government of Pakistan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) / Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and the counterpart share of funds from GOS for the Karachi Water & Sewerage Services Improvement Project (KWSSIP-II) and intends to apply part of the proceeds to make payments against the services rendered by individual consultant at Project Implementation Unit (PIU) of KWSSIP.
  2. The individual consultant selected as Key Professional Staff shall be detailed in the Project Implementation Unit of KWSSIP.
  3. The scope of work and detailed ToRs for following positions can be obtained from the office address given below, same are also available on www.kwssip.gos.pk
  4. The PIU, KWSSIP, KW&SC now invites eligible individual consultant to express their interest in providing the services of Key Professional Staff of PIU (KWSSIP) through their CVs.
  5. Eligible candidates shall have the following qualification, experience and skills as mentioned against each position:


a) Procurement and Contract Management Specialist (02 Positions)

Qualification / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in (Civil/Elect/Mech) Engineering or equivalent with Master’s degree in relevant discipline of Engineering or MBA/ Master’s in relevant discipline from a recognized university with at least Ten (10) years of relevant experience in Procurement and Contract Management.

b) Procurement Assistant (02 Positions)

Qualification / Experience

  • Master’s Degree from HEC recognized University in Engineering /   Business/Economics & Finance or Commerce.
  • Possesses five (05) years of management experience in procurement preferably under the World Bank or comparable projects. The incumbent should have good knowledge of procurement in both international and local processes.

c) Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Specialist (01 Position)

Qualification / Experience       

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Civil/Construction Engineering, Industrial Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline. A Master’s degree or specialized postgraduate diploma in Construction Safety Management or Occupational Health & Safety is an advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in managing health and safety for construction or civil infrastructure projects. Proven experience in World Bank/IFC or other donor-funded construction projects with environmental and social compliance requirements.

    6) The consultant shall be selected in accordance with (Section-VII Open Competitive Selection of Individual Consultants of World          Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (Fifth Edition September 2023).

    7) Interested consultants may submit their Expressions of Interest in the form of Covering Letter along with CV and supporting                 documents through courier to the Project Director PIU (KWSSIP) on the address mentioned below, latest by August 22, 2025          during office hours.

    8) The candidates are required to mention the position applied for in the subject of their Covering Letter.

    9) The successful candidates will be offered market-based remuneration package and will be employed for a period of Two (02)              years (Extendable on the basis of Satisfactory Performance).
