The candidate should be able to drive and support the agenda of Agri and Allied Services practice of the firm both in India and globally and should have a deep technical understanding of the subject

Senior Manager/ Associate Director – Strategic Urban Water & Wastewater Advisory

Location:

Flexible / Based in Delhi NCR / Willingness to travel across India

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead strategic advisory and solutioning in the urban water and wastewater sector. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in infrastructure consulting, innovative financing, and technology-driven interventions, with a strong track record of thought leadership and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of bankable water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Design and structure blended finance instruments, including climate and gender-equity finance such as carbon credit financing. Build financial models with sensitivity analysis and other related features to assess viability.
  • Provide strategic advisory on urban resilience, PPP models, and commercial financing mechanisms.
  • Engage with clients, government bodies, and financial institutions to co-create solutions.
  • Develop and present technical and financial models for infrastructure projects.
  • Author thought leadership pieces, contribute to sectoral dialogues, and represent the firm in high-level forums.
  • Support proposal development and business development efforts in the sector.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree (Tier-1 institution preferred) in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
  • MBA Finance preferred.
  • 10–12 years of experience in consulting, advisory, or solutioning roles in infrastructure or urban development sectors.
  • Proven experience in:
  • Strategic water/wastewater interventions
  • Structuring innovative financing mechanisms
  • Technology-based infrastructure design
  • Leading client engagements and business development

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with national urban schemes (e.g., AMRUT, Smart Cities, Urban Challenge Fund, IIPCF).
  • Experience of working with multilateral agencies, DFIs, philanthropic actors, and government stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, PPP structuring, and project preparation frameworks involving impact investment initiatives.
