Position Details
Opportunity to join a dynamic, high-achieving, and supportive team with a great workplace culture, looking for someone to contribute their strong policy design, stakeholder engagement and project delivery skills. The successful candidate will possess strong skills in considering and evaluating policy options and ability to engage with stakeholders across and within government, to support Victoria’s approach to delivering Murray Darling Basin Plan outcomes while safeguarding regional communities. As the Senior Policy Officer you will develop policy options on a range of rural water policy matters, including regional support and transition, Coordinate the implementation of regional land and water use mapping work and form strong relationships with stakeholders.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- An appropriate tertiary qualification in science, economics, natural resource management or other relevant disciplines is highly desirable.
- Experience working with regional and rural communities is highly desirable.
This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible in Victoria, hybrid work arrangements available.
