What will you be doing?
We are looking for a trustee with experience and knowledge of how systems work in low income countries like Uganda and Zambia who can bring dedication and expertise to support our projects to create lasting impact.
We aim to build a more diverse board to reflect the communities we serve. We encourage applications from individuals with a range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to strengthen and enrich our work.
What are we looking for?
Someone who meets the following criteria:
- Has experience and knowledge of how systems work in low income countries like Uganda and Zambia who can bring dedication and expertise to support our projects to create lasting impact.
- Strongly supports and understands the principle of providing sustainable water and sanitation facilities and health education in low- income countries and involving local communities throughout the process.
- Wants to contribute to Water for Kids as an effective and accountable organisation.
- Has never been disqualified from being a charity trustee.
Criteria:
- Has knowledge/experience of the following:
- Leadership.
- Charity law.
- Fundraising
- Public relations/marketing, including use of social media.
- Finance
- Strategy and Planning
- Contract management.
What difference will you make?
You will be a hands-on trustee contributing to water and sanitation projects, mainly from the UK, ensuring that they will be sustained into the future.
You will help to ensure a strong strategic direction for the charity.
You will work alongside Environmental Health Practitioners in the UK and overseas and with people who are passionate about providing clean water to communities, often for the first time.
