About the Role:
The Technical Officer role is accountable to the Technical Leader, Assets and Groundwater Surveillance responsible for collecting, storing, data from already established monitoring networks. The incumbent will provide assistance with the planning, procurement, maintenance, and installation of platforms to support the department’s groundwater monitoring assets and associated equipment.

Contract:
Up to 30 June 2026
Essential Qualifications:
For assignment to the Technical Officer (TGO1) level, an appropriate Technical Qualification relevant to the position in Natural Resources, Ground Water Hydrology, Hydrography or a related field.
Special Conditions:
- May be required to participate in fire management and associated duties.
- Required to be a State Authorised Officer under the Landscapes South Australia Act 2019.
- May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel for extended periods.
- A current driver’s license and willingness to undertake 4WD training is essential.
- May be required to work outside of the normal hours of work including weekends, and public holidays.
- Obtain a Senior first aid certificate.
- This role has been designed as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework. By applying for this role you consent to being screened under the process of obtaining a National Police Clearance (NPC) and to the Department requiring you to obtain a National Police Clearance (NPC).
Remuneration:
TGO1 $48,788 min – $70,032 max p.a.
