The Position
Staff Associate Engineers perform professional engineering assignments not requiring licensure by the State Board of Professional Engineers & Land Surveyors.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
The Division of Water Resources is seeking to fill a Staff 1, Associate Engineer located in Carson City. This position will serve at the Planning Section Manager for the Division. The Planning Section Manager assists the overall planning efforts of the Division of Water Resources involve water resource planning, conservation, protection, and management for the State of Nevada. This position will provide assistance in communication and coordination with local government entities in the development and review of water conservation and water resource plans. Assist in the development of a state-wide water and drought resiliency plan. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
| Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) | |
 | Certification by the Nevada State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors as an Engineer Intern; OR Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering or a closely related engineering field; OR two years of journey level technical experience equivalent to an Engineering Technician III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
