Skills/Qualifications
The activities to be carried out in the post will be
a) Studying the efficiency of different drinking water treatment plants in the elimination of emerging pollutants, including the fraction associated with sludge and carrying out material balances.
b) Application of treatments for the elimination of emerging pollutants in the presence of microplastics.
c) Toxicity tests.
(d) Participation in project dissemination and reporting.

Qualification: PhD
English level B2
Additional Information
Eligibility criteria
a) Specific qualification: PhD in environmental engineering, chemical engineering or similar. A degree in environmental sciences or similar, as well as a Master’s degree in water management or similar would be an asset.
b) Experience:
– Experience in microplastics extraction and analysis.
– Experience in the analysis of other emerging pollutants such as pharmaceuticals, pesticides, etc.
– Experience in water treatment technologies.
– Scientific articles related to the subject.
– Stays in national and foreign research centres related to the subject.
c) Languages: English at a level higher than B2 would be an asset.
d) Others: International experience and training in the use of microFtir and/or ATR will be an asset.
