About the role
We are seeking a Water Engineer to join the Water Services Unit within our Utilities and Roading Department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and skilled engineer with expertise in water engineering to join a progressive and customer-focused council.
The successful applicant will have overall ownership of the operation of our water supplies, including maintenance contracts, management of service requests, compliance with consents, as well as responding to natural events. You will be a key part of the Water Operations team responsible for ensuring the Council’s water supply systems are operated and maintained to a high standard and ensuring that water services are delivered in a safe and efficient manner.
Our ideal candidate will have experience with water supply system and sound knowledge of operations and maintenance contracts and practices. You will have strong system analysis skills and be good at developing relationships with internal staff and contractors. We are looking for someone who has a positive can-do attitude and is also able to communicate effectively.
