ANÚNCIO PARA A ATRIBUIÇÃO DE BOLSAS DE INICIAÇÃO CIENTÍFICA
Encontra-se aberto concurso para a atribuição de uma (1) Bolsa de investigação no âmbito do projeto “Sistema Ecológico de Tratamento de Água para Lavandarias Têxteis”, nas seguintes condições:
1. Área Científica: Engenharia Materiais, Engenharia Têxtil e Engenharia Civil.
2. Requisitos de admissão: Os(As) candidatos(as) à Bolsa de Investigação (BI) deverão preferencialmente satisfazer os seguintes requisitos:
- Estudantes de doutoramento em Engenharia Materiais, Têxtil e áreas afins;
- Conhecimentos na área malhas têxteis e programação de teares Shima Seiki.
- Razoável domínio da língua inglesa;
- Fluência em Português;
(1) Os documentos comprovativos da titularidade de graus académicos e diplomas, ou do respetivo reconhecimento quando tenham sido atribuídos por instituições de ensino superior estrangeiras, podem ser dispensados em fase de candidatura, sendo substituídos por declaração de honra do candidato, ocorrendo a verificação dessa condição apenas em fase de contratualização da bolsa. Esta declaração deverá atestar factos ocorridos em data anterior à candidatura. Nas situações de divergência entre a informação constante da declaração e a documentação entregue para efeitos de contratualização de bolsa, apenas será considerada a informação constante nesta última. Caso se verifique que os documentos comprovativos da titularidade do grau académico e diploma, ou do respetivo reconhecimento nos termos do Decreto-Lei n.º 66/2018, de 16 de agosto, não correspondam às classificações atribuídas na avaliação do percurso académico e possam, consequentemente, alterar a seriação do candidato, não será efetivada a contratualização da bolsa.
(2) À data da respetiva contratação, deverão os candidatos comprovar que estão inscritos (aceites) em curso conferente ou não conferente de grau académico, integrado no projeto educativo de uma instituição do ensino superior, na área ou área afim à solicitada em edital (por ex.: pós-graduações, estudos avançados, formação especializada)
3. Plano de trabalhos:
Pretende-se realizar um sistema de aquisição de dados para uma configuração laboratorial experimental, estando previstas as tarefas seguintes:
– Programação de malhas em APEX 4;
– Produção de amostras têxteis;
– Testes em laboratório;
4. Legislação e regulamentação aplicável: Lei n.º 40/2004, de 18 de Agosto (Estatuto do Bolseiro de Investigação Científica), alterada e republicada pelo Decreto-Lei n.º 202/2012 de 27 de agosto, com as atualizações introduzidas pelo Decreto-Lei n.º 233/2012 de 29 de outubro, Lei n.º 12/2013 de 29 de janeiro, Decreto-lei n.º 89/2013 de 9 de julho e Decreto-Lei n.º 123/2019, de 28 de agosto; Regulamento de Bolsas de Investigação da FCT, I. P., aprovado pelo Regulamento n.º 234/2012 de 25 de junho de 2012, alterado e republicado pelo Regulamento n.º 326/2013 de 27 de julho de 2013 e alterado pelo Regulamento n.º 339/2015 de 17 de junho de 2015, pelo Regulamento n.º 137-A/2018 de 27 de fevereiro de 2018 e Regulamento n.º 950/2019, de 16 de dezembro. O Regulamento n.º 950/2019, de 16 de dezembro, foi alterado pelo Regulamento n.º 643/2021, de 14 de julho.
5. Local de trabalho: O trabalho será desenvolvido no 2C2T da Universidade do Minho, sob a orientação científica do Prof. Andrea Zille.
6. Duração da(s) bolsa(s): A bolsa terá a duração de 6 meses, eventualmente renovável até o fim do projeto, com início previsto em Agosto de 2025, em regime de exclusividade, conforme regulamento de formação avançada de Recursos Humanos da Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT).
7. Valor do subsídio de manutenção mensal: O montante da bolsa corresponde a 1.309,64€, conforme tabela de valores das bolsas atribuídas diretamente pela FCT, I.P. no País (https://www.fct.pt/wpcontent/uploads/2025/02/Tabela_valores_SMM_2025.pdf).
8. Métodos de seleção: A avaliação das candidaturas incidirá sobre o Mérito do candidato, aplicando-se os seguintes critérios de avaliação, valorados numa escala de 1 a 5 valores:
Mérito do candidato – MC (100%) 1:
a) Percurso académico (que reflete as classificações dos graus académicos), com uma
ponderação de 50%;
b) Currículo pessoal (que reflete o percurso científico e profissional), com uma
ponderação de 50%;
A classificação final do mérito do candidato será obtida pela aplicação da seguinte fórmula:
MC=(a×0,5) + (b×0,5)
Caso o júri não se considere apto a decidir utilizando o método indicado em MC, poderá optar por realizar uma Entrevista. Nesse caso, os candidatos classificados nas primeiras 2 posições, que obtenham a classificação mínima de 2 no MC, serão admitidos à fase da Entrevista, procedendo o Júri à avaliação dos seguintes subcritérios:
Entrevista – ENT:
E1 – Competências interpessoais – 30%
E2 – Conhecimentos demonstrados na área a concurso- 40%
E3 – Motivação – 20%
E4 – Competências linguísticas – 10%
A classificação da entrevista será obtida pela aplicação da seguinte fórmula:
ENT=(E1*0,3) + (E2*0,4) + (E3*0,2) + (E4*0,1)
O júri poderá ajustar as ponderações.
A classificação final (CF) do Mérito do Candidato (MC) e Entrevista (ENT) será obtida pela aplicação da seguinte fórmula:
CF = (MC*0,6) + (ENT*0,4)
Na eventualidade de nenhum dos candidatos a concurso reunir o perfil adequado à execução do plano de trabalhos, o Júri reserva-se o direito de encerrar o concurso sem qualquer recrutamento.
9. Composição do Júri de Seleção: O júri é composto pelo Presidente Prof. Andrea Zille (Professor Associado do Departamento e Engenharia Têxtil da Universidade o Minho) e os vogais efetivos Drª. Helena Felgueiras (investigadora Auxiliar do centro de Ciência e Tecnologia Têxtil da Universidade do Minho), Prof. Nuno Dourado (Professor Associado do Departamento de Engenharia Mecânica da Universidade do Minho), pela Drª Paula Dias (Coordenadora da Unidade de Parcerias para a Inovação) e pelos vogais suplentes: Dr. Fernando Nunes Ferreira (Professor Associado do Departamento e Engenharia Têxtil da Universidade do Minho) e Prof. Hélder Carvalho (Professor Associado do Departamento e Engenharia Têxtil da Universidade do Minho).
10. Forma de publicitação/notificação dos resultados: Os resultados finais da avaliação serão publicitados através de ata de seriação, anexa à notificação enviada aos candidatos via e-mail.
11. Prazo de candidatura e forma de apresentação das candidaturas: O concurso encontra-se aberto no período de 07-07-2025 a 18-07-2025.
As candidaturas devem ser formalizadas, obrigatoriamente, através do envio dos seguintes documentos: Curriculum Vitae, certificado de habilitações e outros documentos comprovativos considerados relevantes.
O investigador responsável pelo projeto reserva-se ao direito de não atribuir a Bolsa de Iniciação Científica em concurso em função do resultado de avaliação das candidaturas e da sua adequação aos objetivos do projeto.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR A SCIENTIFIC INITIATION SCHOLARSHIP
A competition is open for the awarding of one (1) research grant within the scope of the project “Ecological Water Treatment System for Textile Laundries”, under the following conditions:
1.Scientific field: Materials Engineering, Textile Engineering and Civil Engineering.
2. Admission Requirements: Candidates for the Research Grant (BI) should preferably meet the following requirements:
• PhD students in Materials Engineering, Textiles and related areas;
• Knowledge in textile knitwear and programming of Shima Seiki.
• Reasonable command of the English language;
• Fluency in Portuguese;
- Documents proving the ownership of academic degrees and diplomas, or their respective recognition when they have been awarded by foreign higher education institutions, may be waived at the application stage, being replaced by a declaration of honor by the candidate, with verification of such condition only in the stage of contracting the fellowship. This statement must attest facts that occurred on a date prior to the application. In situations of divergence between the information contained in the declaration and the documentation submitted for the purpose of contracting a grant, only the information contained in the latter will be considered. If it is verified that the documents proving the ownership of the academic degree and diploma, or the respective recognition under the terms of Decree-Law No. 66/2018, of August 16, do not correspond to the classifications awarded in the evaluation of the academic path and may, consequently, changing the candidate’s ranking, the fellowship contracting will not be affected.
- On the date of the respective hiring, candidates must prove that they are enrolled in a course conferring or not conferring an academic degree, integrated in the educational project of a higher education institution, in the area or area related to that requested in the notice (e.g.: postgraduate studies, advanced studies, specialized training)
3. Work Plan:
The objective is to develop a data acquisition system for an experimental laboratory setup, with the following tasks planned:
– Textile knitwear programming in APEX 4;
– Production of textile samples;
– Laboratory tests;
4. Applicable legislation and regulation: Law No. 40/2004, of 18 August (Statute of Scientific Research Fellows), amended and republished by Decree-Law No. 202/2012 of 27 August, with the updates introduced by Decree-Law No. 233/2012 of October 29, Law No. 12/2013 of January 29, Decree-Law No. 89/2013 of July 9 and Decree-Law No. 123/2019, of August 28; Regulation of Research Grants of FCT, IP, approved by Regulation No. 234/2012 of June 25, 2012, amended and republished by Regulation No. 326/2013 of July 27, 2013 and amended by Regulation No. 339/2015 of 17th of June 2015, by Regulation No. 137-A/2018 of February 27, 2018 and Regulation No. 950/2019, of December 16, 2019. Regulation 950/2019 of 16 December was amended by Regulation 643/2021 of 14 July.
5. Workplace and Scientific Orientation: The activities will be developed at the 2C2T, University of Minho, under the scientific supervision of Professor Andrea Zille.
6. Duration of the Fellowship: The fellowship will last for 6 months, eventually renewable until the end of the Project, starting in August 2025, on an exclusive basis, according to the regulation of advanced training in Human Resources of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
7. Value of the Monthly Maintenance Subsidy: The fellowship amount corresponds to 1.309,64€, according to the table of scholarship values of the FCT, I.P. in the Country (Annex I – Table of Monthly Maintenance Subsidy of the Regulation for Research Fellowships of the FCT I.P. 8. Evaluation and selection criteria and procedures: The selection methodology will follow the following criteria:
The evaluation of applications will focus on the merit of the candidate, applying the following evaluation criteria, rated on a scale from 1 to 5:
Merit of the candidate – MC (100%):
a) Academic background (reflecting academic degree grades), with a weight of 50%;
b) Personal curriculum (reflecting scientific and professional background), with a weight of 50%;
MC = (a × 0.5) + (b × 0.5)
If the jury does not feel able to decide using the MC method, it may opt to conduct an Interview. In this case, the candidates ranked in the first two positions who obtain a minimum score of 2 in MC will be admitted to the Interview phase, where the jury will evaluate the following subcriteria:
Interview – ENT:
E1 – Interpersonal skills – 30%
E2 – Knowledge demonstrated in the area of the call – 40%
E3 – Motivation – 20%
E4 – Language skills – 10%
ENT = (E1 × 0.3) + (E2 × 0.4) + (E3 × 0.2) + (E4 × 0.1)
CF = (MC × 0.6) + (ENT × 0.4)
If none of the candidates meet the appropriate profile for the execution of the work plan, the jury reserves the right to close the call without awarding the fellowship.
9. Composition of the Selection Jury:
The jury is composed of the President, Prof. Andrea Zille (Associate Professor of the Department of Textile Engineering at the University of Minho), and the effective members Dr. Helena Felgueiras (Assistant Researcher at the Center for Science and Textile Technology at the University of Minho), Prof. Nuno Dourado (Associate Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Minho), and Dr. Paula Dias (Coordinator of the Innovation Partnerships Unit), as well as the alternate members Dr. Fernando Nunes Ferreira (Associate Professor of the Department of Textile Engineering at the University of Minho) and Prof. Hélder Carvalho (Associate Professor of the Department of Textile Engineering at the University of Minho).
10. Form of advertising/notification of results: The results of the evaluation will be publicized through the ranking and selection minutes, attached to the notification sent to candidates via e-mail.
11. Application deadline and form of submission of applications: The call for applications is open from 07-07-2025 a 18-07-2025.
Applications must be formalized, mandatorily, by sending the following documents: Curriculum Vitae, certificate of qualifications, and other supporting documents considered relevant.
The researcher responsible for the project reserves the right not to award the Scientific Initiation Fellowship in competition depending on the result of the evaluation of the applications and its suitability for the project’s objectives.
