Position: WASH Facilitator
Reports to: Provincial Coordinator- WASH Engineer

Education/Professional Background:
Intermediate (+2 pass) or Bachelors in education or social science with 5 years of relevant working experience for Intermediate and 3 years for Bachelors in WASH programs in rural and remote areas as WASH Facilitator.
Experience:
- 5 years of proven WASH experience in the field, especially in hygiene promotional activity;
- Proven experience of managing a hygiene promotion program;
- Proven experience in management (team management, supervision, activity planning);
- Experience in IEC/ BCC materials development and training materials will be beneficial for the position;
- Proven experience in conducting training and capacity building related activities of beneficiaries.
- Proven experience on mobile based apps survey and information collection
Required Competencies & Skills:
- Ability to communicate with people in the local language;
- Team management, organizational capacity, and activity planning – Dynamism– Good interpersonal skills
- Computer skills (MS word and excel) and mobile base apps;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Good reporting skills in English and Nepali;
- Ability to travel frequently within Wine to Water Nepal working Rural Communities;
- Valid 2 wheelers driving license (not mandatory but with this qualification may be preferred due to the field-based nature of this role).
Job Description:
- Oversee the effective implementation of the Wine to Water Nepal program in coordination with the Provincial Coordinator and Program Manager.
- To empower the community through social mobilization.
- Facilitate Focus Group Discussion and identify the community need and impacts of the water scheme related to WASH.
- To help facilitate and conduct a public audit of WUSC.
- Facilitate various kinds of training related to WASH and empower community members to improve their quality of healthy life.
- Responsible for weekly/daily reporting to direct supervisor about the progress.
- Work in harmony with all the project staff and field team for the effective and efficient day-to-day management of WASH activities.
- Coordinate hygiene promotion activities with other line agencies in order to integrate activities in the same geographical area and for the same beneficiaries
- Ensure that construction works are integrated with hygiene promotion and community participation to ensure sustainability of the infrastructure built
- Participation in all coordination meetings, prepare minutes of meetings.
- Assisting direct supervisor in conducting various kinds of training, workshops, and door to door surveys at all levels.
- Facilitate and Support to SM for conducting orientation, meetings, training and other extracurricular activities in the School WASH program to support the Three Star Approach .
- Support on surveys, training,orientation, team formation and other activities for the successful implementation of WASH in HCF Program.
- Participation in all community meetings and assist WUSC in preparing minutes of a meeting.
- Promote a sense of ownership among the beneficiaries through community engagement activities.
- Actively work for the achievement of the Drinking Water Supply Project action plan.
- Any other duties assigned by Wine to Water Nepal as per requirement.
- Assist in conducting post construction training to WUSC.
- Facilitate the WUSC to select and employ the Maintenance Worker (MW).
