Job Description
The role includes leading water planning and hydraulic modelling studies using industry standard software (InfoWorks WS (Pro) / WaterCAD/ WaterGems) as well as other projects requiring detailed technical analysis. You will be expected to use existing models as well as building new models to assess and understand asset performance.

- Technical lead for a team of Water Engineers specialising in Hydraulic Modelling of Water Supply networks
- Collaborate with Business Sector leadership and peer group across India and Australia; Take responsibility for seamless Integration of GCC with Australian team.
- Guide, mentor and coach junior team members in technical domains and ensure professional growth of individuals within the team
- Ensure quality of hydraulic model build, validation and calibration and application in capacity, water age and quality assessments
- Expert in undertaking master planning studies and strategic planning
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, tolerances, safety factors and project brief
- Preparation of reports and supporting drawings.
- Ensure all projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Ensure quality management is embedded into project submission.
- Work proactively within a team of junior and senior water network hydraulic modellers/ planning engineers within India and Australia to ensure the production of quality deliverables.

Software Proficiencies
- MUST HAVE software proficiencies:
- InfoWorks WS Pro, WaterCAD/ WaterGEMs; Ideal candidate should be an advanced user of WaterCAD/ WaterGEMs and have intermediate proficiency of the balance
- ArcGIS
- Good to have software proficiencies:
- InfoWater, Synergi Water/LiquidInfoWater
- QGIS or other GIS packages
- API programming skills (especially using RubyScript)
Experience
- 8+ years of hands on experience in Planning and Hydraulic Modelling for large scale Water Infrastructure projects.
- Highly skilled in hydraulic model build, verification and calibration and optioneering
- Experience in the design of water network for planned layouts and developments.
- Past experience in AU/NZ projects is preferred; should at least have experience in overseas (UK/US/ME) Water and Wet Utilities projects
- Knowledge and understanding of international codes and standards
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Experience with waste water planning/ modelling is beneficial but not necessary.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Civil, Water Resource Engineering or Environmental Engineering or similar
- Member of a professional body like CIWEM, ICE etc.; Chartered or equivalent status preferred.
