The Murray Darling Wetlands Working Group Ltd (MDWWG) is a not-for-profit organisation established in 2009 to rehabilitate wetlands across the Murray-Darling Basin.
MDWWG is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation and continue to have a meaningful impact on wetland restoration in the southern Murray-Darling Basin with community engagement and empowerment.
Key skills include business management, communication skills, strategic thinking, knowledge of environmental policies particularly relating to water management, and the ability to inspire collaboration. As CEO, you will:
- Work closely with the Chair and board of the MDWWG.
- Work with government and non-government organisations to attract water resources and financial resources to facilitate wetland rehabilitation.
- Establish meaningful partnerships with stakeholders, including Indigenous-led initiatives.
- Manage resources, oversee budgets, and drive financial sustainability.
- Inspire a small, dedicated team to deliver excellence and continuous improvement.
- Foster community engagement, promote and represent the MDWWG at all levels of government and community.
