WASH Institute also has an academic wing that conducts formal courses at Reddiarchatram, Tamil Nadu in affiliation with the Madurai Kamaraj University. The Institute has a proven record of accomplishment in organizing National Workshops/conferences on various themes of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene. WASH Institute is currently operating from different branch offices that are located in Dindigul, Chennai, Madurai, Vedasandhur, Thiruppullani, Kadaladi, Adalur (Tamil Nadu), Munger, Patna (Bihar), West Bengal, Bhadradari Kothagudem (Telangana), Kadiyam (Andra Pradesh) and Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh), Kolar, Bangaluru (Karnataka), East Godavari district (Andhra Pradesh), Barpeta (Assam) and New Delhi.

Desired Qualification
• Diploma is the minimum, a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is often preferred with a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the development sector (NGOs).
• Prior experience in the construction industry, particularly in a supervisory role, is also highly valuable, along with relevant field experience.

Job Description of Construction Supervisor
• Provide necessary technical and hand holding support in construction/renovation of community and school toilet blocks (proposed, renovations and additions) and installation of the drinking water system.
• Monitor, review and ensure timely progress of all construction works with special emphesis on quality and timelines.
• Supervise all construction work on a regular basis by proving onsite technical suggestions wherever necessary.
• The Supervisor will be responsible for the smooth implementation of the planned construction work by monitoring and reviewing the progress, gap analysis, and identifying the remedies to ensure the quality. He/she will support the Project Officers and all the staffs to meet their set deliverables on time leading to achieving the programme milestones.
• Coordinate with the contractor, masons on the plan/design/estimates and about construction techniques/procedures for proper implementation of planned work.
• Undertake construction quality check in respect to quality of material used, foundation depth, mortar mix ratio, concrete mix ratio, wall alignments, perfection with measurements, horizontal and vertical levels, slopes, parallel and perpendicular checks, etc., and deployment of skilled mason to execute the work with the proper finishing.
• Assist the contractor and masons to follow and comply with provided/recommended specifications for construction.
• Assist the line manager in reporting and documentation; capture best practices and prepare case studies and to accomplish the urgent assignments if any.

Languages
Sound knowledge of speaking, reading and writing in English and Tamil is essential.

Salary Package
As per Industry Standard and as per qualifications & work experience of candidate.
