Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Institute (WASH Institute) established during the year 2008 in Kodaikanal, is a registered non-profit government technical, training, research and development organization dedicated to providing practical solutions to tackle a wide range of water, sanitation and hygiene issues in India.
Over the years, WASH Institute has carved its niche in the field of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene as an expert through its quality training programs, Technical Assistance programs to the Government of India, grassroots programs, and research & advocacy. WASH Institute also has an academic wing that conducts formal courses at Reddiarchatram, Tamil Nadu in affiliation with the Madurai Kamaraj University. The Institute has a proven record of accomplishment in organizing National Workshops/conferences on various themes of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene. WASH Institute is currently operating from different branch offices that are located in Dindigul, Chennai, Madurai, Vedasandhur, Thiruppullani, Kadaladi, Adalur (Tamil Nadu), Munger, Patna (Bihar), West Bengal, Bhadradari Kothagudem (Telangana), Kadiyam (Andra Pradesh) and Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh), Kolar, Bangaluru (Karnataka), East Godavari district (Andhra Pradesh), Barpeta (Assam) and New Delhi.

Desired Qualification
• Master’s and bachelor’s in civil / Bachelor of Civil, and Diploma in Civil with 5 to 8 years’ experience in infrastructure planning, design, and engineering.
• Experience of working with Government side / setup will be an added advantage.
• The Candidate should possess excellent computer skills in MS Office and relevant applications
• Candidate should work knowledge of Auto CAD.
Job Description:
• Prepare technical design, drawings, estimates for community related water supply projects (Oorani development, shallow open well, Mini water tanks/GLSR, treatment system for drinking water supply) and school wash infrastructure (toilets, hand wash stations, dining halls, boundary walls etc.)
• Preparing tender documents and completing procurement process for contractor selection.
• Work explanation to contractors, Masons and other stakeholders and support in commencing the works.
• Supervise all construction works on regular basis. Check for perfection of the construction works and suggest if any corrections required if deviated from the original designs/drawings/measurements.
• regular check for quality of construction material used and quality of work execution and curing etc.
• Record M Book as per the actuals on the work site, process contractor bills periodically.
• Provide guidance, suggestion to the contractor as and when require.
• Assist to complete any other urgent requirements/tasks assigned by the project officer/immediate reporting officer related to the project

Languages
Sound knowledge of speaking, reading and writing in English and Tamil is essential
Salary Package
The annual Salary (CTC) will commensurate with the available skills and fitment of the incumbent as per the selection process.
